According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand, five unlicensed cryptocurrency trading platforms Bybit, 1000X, CoinEx, OKX and XT.COM will be banned from June 28, 2025. The move is said to be based on the Technological Crime Prevention and Combating Decree (No. 2), which came into force on April 13, 2025, and aims to protect investors and prevent illegal platforms from being used as money laundering channels. Thailand's Ministry of Digital Economy and Society will be responsible for enforcing the lockdown measures. The Securities and Futures Commission of Thailand reminds investors who hold assets on the above-mentioned platforms to properly dispose of their assets before the platform is blocked.
