The first Web3×AI financial startup competition in Taiwan is here! Student teams address property disputes between couples using blockchain.

With the rapid development of digital assets and generative AI technology, financial technology (FinTech) is quickly entering a new stage. Seizing this wave, the first "Digital Finance New Blueprint: Web3 and Generative AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition" in Taiwan, jointly organized by the Taiwan Blockchain University Alliance and HOYA BIT exchange, was grandly held on June 24 at AWS Taiwan. This student entrepreneurship competition focusing on Web3 and AI financial applications not only attracted over a hundred teachers, students, and industry professionals but also sparked a spectacular show of innovation and industry-academia collaboration!

50+ teams competing for the final tickets, creative topics blooming in abundance.

Since the opening of registration, the student entrepreneurship competition has attracted more than 50 student teams from all over Taiwan. From AI financial coaches, blockchain credit reporting systems, to the tokenization of blood donation points, surplus food redistribution platform, to DAO financial governance and sustainable carbon rights mechanism, each proposal combines technological innovation and social care, showing students' imagination and practice of the future financial landscape.

"Love on the Chain is Guaranteed" uses Blockchain to ensure the financial safety in romantic relationships.

The champion team "Chain Love is Guaranteed" is composed of Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Beijing Business University students. In view of the pain point of life of couples' property disputes, they proposed an innovative proposal to replace traditional paper contracts with blockchain smart contracts. Through the deposit mechanism, on-chain voting arbitration and automatic fulfillment functions, "Chain Love is Guaranteed" makes love digital, contractual, and secure! This idea shows the potential of Web3 technology for social institutional innovation, which was unanimously appreciated by the judges.

A team of industry, government, and academia experts has formed a mentor group to create an entrepreneurship incubation space.

The mentors and judges of this year's competition are quite strong, and representatives from industry and academia such as professors of the Department of Finance and Management of Chengchi University, founder of HOYA BIT, Dr. Wang Innovation, AWS and Cathay Financial Holdings are invited to participate. The organizer also recruited professional tutors from 8 enterprises in Taiwan to provide practical feedback and market verification before the final, helping the student team from technical ideas to viable business models.

Peng Shaofu, Chairman of the Taiwan Blockchain University Alliance, pointed out: "Students not only demonstrate the practical power of technology, but also pay attention to the deep impact of technology on society. This competition allows us to see a new generation of students trying to truly implement Web3 and AI in financial scenarios and respond to the actual needs of life."

The founder of HOYA BIT, Peng Yunxian, stated: "Generative AI is rapidly changing financial processes, and the decentralized characteristics of Web3 make the system more flexible and secure. This competition focuses on two key technologies for the future, allowing students to communicate with the world in innovative languages."

The organizers emphasized that this competition is not only a creative exhibition, but also an experiment of industry-university exchange and business incubation. In the future, it will further promote the innovative application of Web3 and generative AI combined with financial scenarios, connect more education and enterprise resources, and let students' ideas not only be concepts, but also become a new driving force for Taiwan's financial technology!
