GM Vietnam 2025 will be held for the first time in Hanoi, scheduled from August 1 to 2 at the National Convention Center. Legal developments in digital assets

Vietnam has recently advanced its digital asset regulation, highlighting the government's commitment to a clear legal framework that supports industry growth. In October 2024, the government announced the "National Strategy for the Development of Blockchain Technology," which is planned for implementation in 2025. This roadmap outlines the goals of strengthening domestic infrastructure and positioning Vietnam as a stronghold for regional blockchain adoption.

Meanwhile, Congress has begun reviewing the Digital Technology Industry Act, which introduces key legal definitions for digital assets and proposes pilot projects for digital asset exchanges in major financial centers such as Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. In addition, the government has issued directives requiring the completion of a comprehensive legal framework for digital assets (including virtual assets and service providers) by May 2025. These regulatory developments will be the focus of Vietnam Blockchain Week 2025, providing participants with timely insights into Vietnam's rapidly evolving legal and policy environment.
