Recently, renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk expressed strong criticism of an important tax reform bill. On June 28, Musk made sharp remarks regarding the "Big and Beautiful" tax reform bill currently under consideration in the Senate. He believes that this bill could "destroy millions of jobs in America and cause great strategic harm to the United States." Musk even described the bill as "extremely crazy and destructive," pointing out that it "gives handouts to sunset industries while severely harming future industries."

This is not the first time Musk has expressed dissatisfaction with the bill. Since the House passed the bill on May 22, he has publicly criticized it multiple times. Musk believes that this bill will increase the federal deficit, which is contrary to the government's goal of improving efficiency. He even called on the public on June 4 to contact lawmakers to prevent the passage of the bill, emphasizing that "bankrupting America is wrong."

The bill known as the "Big and Beautiful" act is essentially a massive spending plan. Its main components include extending previous tax cuts, providing new tax reliefs, and increasing defense spending, among others. However, the bill also plans to eliminate several green energy incentive policies and raise the thresholds for low-income groups to access healthcare and food assistance, in order to cut federal spending.

The impact of the bill could be very far-reaching. If ultimately passed, it would not only significantly increase federal government debt but could also result in up to 5.2 million people losing eligibility for Medicaid and about 11 million people dropping out of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

Currently, the bill is under review in the Senate. On June 28, the Senate held its first procedural vote. In the face of this controversial bill, the Democrats adopted a strategy of forcefully reading all 940 pages of the bill in an attempt to delay the passage of the legislation.

Elon Musk's remarks have once again sparked public attention and discussion regarding this bill. As an entrepreneur with significant achievements in the technology and renewable energy sectors, his views will undoubtedly have some impact on public opinion. However, whether this bill can ultimately pass, and what potential effects it may have on the U.S. economy and society, remains to be further observed.
