Lagarde: The European Central Bank needs to make a strong push to control inflation.

gate News bot message, European Central Bank President Lagarde recently delivered a speech, emphasizing that against the backdrop of uncertainty brought about by U.S. trade policies, the European Central Bank must remain vigilant regarding inflation issues.

Lagarde pointed out: "This is a daily struggle, we are almost at the target level, but we must stay there, which is why I say this is a long-term battle." She stated that there is currently no clear consensus on the next decision on April 17.

Regarding the 2% inflation target, Lagarde stated: "We are all determined to reach this goal. On the road to achieving the target, some want to rush ahead, while others say, let's take a few slow steps and see what obstacles we encounter along the way."
