Israel claims that Iran is close to building a nuclear bomb, but U.S. intelligence indicates "it's still very early"?

According to Gate News bot, CNN reported that during a series of strikes against Iran last week, Israel issued a series of serious warnings regarding the country's nuclear program, suggesting that Iran is rapidly approaching a point of no return in its quest for nuclear weapons, and that action is necessary to prevent this outcome.

But according to four informed sources, the U.S. intelligence assessment reached a different conclusion – Iran is not actively seeking to develop nuclear weapons, and it is three years away from being able to produce and launch nuclear weapons at targets of its choosing.

According to a U.S. official, despite Israel's consecutive airstrikes over several days, U.S. intelligence officials currently believe that Israel may have only delayed Iran's nuclear program by a few months at most. Although Israel has inflicted significant damage on Iran's nuclear facilities in Natanz, another fortified uranium enrichment site located in Fordow has actually remained unaffected.
