Democratic senators stated that the Trump administration's decision to restrict classified information is "disturbing."

Gate News bot message, according to CNN, Virginia Democratic Senator Tim Kaine stated on Wednesday that the Trump administration's plan to restrict the sharing of classified information with Congress is "disturbing."

Previously, CNN reported that early U.S. intelligence assessments showed that the attack on Iran did not destroy its nuclear facilities. However, Cain told CNN that before the U.S. launched an attack on Iran last weekend, the U.S. government had restricted intelligence sharing with some Democrats.

"Regarding the weekend attack on Iranian facilities, Republicans were briefed while Democrats were not. So now, it is clear that President Trump has deemed war and bombing to be a partisan issue rather than a bipartisan effort," said Kaine, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

"This is a real issue. So, when they now say they want to further withdraw troops, it is not to deal with the Democrats, but to keep the American public from knowing," he said.

Kane stated that while he trusts the intelligence information from the U.S. intelligence community, he does not believe Trump's description of it.

"Now, after the bombing incident in the U.S. on Saturday, some say we have destroyed this project, while others say we have pushed it back several months," he said. "What I mean is, if there is anything we have learned in the past 20 years, it is that the U.S. should not be fooled into going to war."

He also pointed out that at the intelligence briefing on Thursday, this "will become the focus of questions asked by Trump administration officials," at which Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe will report to the Senate on the Iran issue.
