Edward Yau: Hong Kong's rise in multiple rankings reflects international confidence in Hong Kong

On December 17th, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, pointed out to reporters before the executive meeting that in the past two and a half years, Hong Kong has achieved results in different areas, some of which are reflected in international rankings, including Hong Kong being re-evaluated as the "world's freest economy," the status of Hong Kong as an international financial center regaining the third place in the world, the world competitiveness rise to fifth place, and the talent competitiveness rise to seventh place, all of which reflect the international community's confidence in Hong Kong and also demonstrate that the SAR government's governance direction is correct.
