Purpose Investments announced the launch of Purpose XRP ETF after receiving approval from the Ontario Securities Commission, Canada's regulatory authority, (OSC).

This new exchange-traded fund that will provide direct spot access to XRP, (ETF), will begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. The fund will be offered to investors under three different trading codes: XRPP (CAD hedged), XRPP.B (CAD), and XRPP.U (USD).

According to the statements in the official announcement, the Purpose XRP ETF will provide direct exposure to XRP, which operates on the XRP Ledger and supports low-cost, fast cross-border payments. The fund can also be held in registered investment accounts such as TFSAs and RRSPs, which offer tax advantages in Canada.

Vlad Tasevski, Purpose Investments' Director of Innovation, stated in the announcement, "This approval from the OSC once again demonstrates Canada's global leadership in building a regulated ecosystem for digital assets. We are proud to involve investors in infrastructures that support real-world blockchain adoption in safe and accessible ways."

Purpose had previously played a pioneering role in the sector with Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs.
