The encryption exchange Bitvavo has obtained the Netherlands MiCA license.

According to Mars Finance, as reported by CoinDesk, the encryption exchange Bitvavo has recently obtained the license for the "Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets" (MiCA) issued by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), allowing it to operate in 30 countries within the European Economic Area. Since the regulatory framework officially took effect last December, many encryption companies have applied for this license. MiCA was implemented in 2023 and covers the regulatory rules for crypto assets in the 27 EU countries as well as Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein.
