Highlight 1) MacBook Pro performance upgrade, equipped with the latest M4 chip

According to foreign media reports, the upcoming M4 series lineup from Apple will include 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chip processors. Compared to the previous M3 series, these processors have significantly improved performance. The number of CPU cores in the M4 chip has been increased from 8 cores to 10 cores, and the speed is expected to increase by 20% to 25%. This means that users will be able to experience a smoother usage experience when handling high-intensity tasks.

In addition to the basic M4 chip, Apple will also offer high-end options such as M4 Pro and M4 Max, with the exact number of cores yet to be revealed, but similar performance improvements are expected.

According to Bloomberg, all M4 series Macs will come standard with at least 16GB of unified memory, with the base model M4 MacBook Pro starting at 16GB of memory and upgradeable to 32GB. Compared to the configuration starting from 8GB for M3, M4 will be a significant advancement in terms of memory.

Highlight 2〉The M4 series is equipped with 3 Thunderbolt ports

Not only is the memory performance improved, all models of the M4 MacBook Pro will be equipped with three Thunderbolt ports, unlike the previous M3 MacBook Pro series, which only had two Thunderbolt ports in its base model.

Highlight 3) Equipped with Wi-Fi 7, supporting operation speed of 46 Gbps.

The Wi-Fi 7 feature supported for the first time in the iPhone 16 series may also be installed in the M4 MacBook Pro. According to 9to5Mac, Wi-Fi 7 can operate at speeds of up to 46 Gbps, which is five times faster than Wi-Fi 6E's 9 Gbps. Wi-Fi 7 can also operate on a 320 MHz channel and support the 6 GHz band, significantly reducing interference and signal congestion issues.

Mac mini will undergo a major redesign, adopting a design similar to the Apple TV set-top box.

In addition to the MacBook Pro, the redesigned desktop computer Mac mini is also a highlight of this update. This will be the largest revision since 2010. The new Mac mini will adopt a smaller size and a design similar to the Apple TV set-top box, and will be equipped with 2 front USB-C ports. According to Bloomberg, the new Mac mini will also have changes in performance improvement, equipped with Apple's latest M4 and M4 Pro chip processors.

Meanwhile, the update of the 24-inch iMac display is also planned, upgrading from the current M3 to M4 processor, but it is expected that there will not be too many changes in terms of design. In addition, Apple is likely to release new computer accessories, such as the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad, with the connector port switching from Lightning to USB-C.

These three old products will be discontinued! The M3 series of MacBook Pro will be phased out.

As new products are about to be launched, Apple will gradually phase out old products, including the MacBook Pro M3 series, which will stop selling after the launch of the new M4 series; M2 Mac mini and M3 iMac will also be withdrawn from the market and users will no longer be able to purchase these products from the Apple iStore in the future.
