Jetcraft partners with CoinPayments to bring crypto payments to private aviation
CoinPayments and Jetcraft have partnered to enable crypto payments for aircraft purchases and private aviation services.
According to a press release shared with crypto.news, CoinPayments Inc., a leading crypto payment gateway, has announced a partnership with Jetcraft, the world’s largest buyer and seller of business aircrafts, to enable cryptocurrency payments for aircrafts and private aviation services.
As part of this partnership, CoinPayments’ technology will be fully integrated into Jetcraft’s accounting and transaction processes. Clients will be able to use a wide range of crypto assets for transactions, and payments will be processed instantly with state-of-the-art encryption and security protocols in place to protect every transaction.
Luxury markets embrace crypto
The partnership between CoinPayments and Jetcraft marks the first major integration of crypto payment solutions within the private aviation sector. However, the use of crypto in services tailored to high-net-worth individuals has been steadily gaining traction across other luxury markets.
For example, luxury real estate firms in cities like Miami and Dubai have begun accepting Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies for multi-million dollar property transactions. In 2022, ONE Sotheby’s International Realty partnered with Voxel Architects and NFT collector Gabe Sierra to launch the “MetaReal” Mansion project in Miami, aiming to sell a real-world luxury home alongside its digital twin in the metaverse, with the transaction executed via an NFT on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain.
Similarly, luxury retailers and concierge services catering to affluent clientele have embraced crypto. The luxury watch brand Hublot began accepting BTC and ETH for select limited-edition timepieces, while companies like Post Oak Motor Cars in Houston—backed by billionaire Tilman Fertitta—accepting Bitcoin (BTC) for high-end vehicles including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Bugatti.
