Jinshi data, November 4th news, to reduce costs, Intel's global plan to lay off 15,000 people is accelerating. According to foreign media Globes, Intel's Israeli research and development center has laid off hundreds of employees. Earlier this year, dozens of Intel employees have left to join Nvidia. It is understood that Intel has about 11,700 employees in its Israeli operations, including 7,800 in the R&D department and 3,900 in the manufacturing department. The latest layoffs are concentrated in the R&D department, while the manufacturing department employees remain largely unchanged, as Intel prepares to complete the Fab 38 plant in Kiryat Gat. It is currently unclear the actual number of voluntary resignations, retirements, or direct layoffs. However, Globes reported that Intel will lay off hundreds of Israeli employees.
