The San Francisco-based company raised $6.6 billion in new financing in October and, according to several sources and the Financial Times' analysis of LinkedIn accounts, OpenAI is recruiting advertising talent from large tech companies such as Meta and Google. In a statement after the interview, Friar added: 'Our current business is experiencing rapid growth, and we see huge opportunities in our existing business model. Although we are open to exploring other sources of revenue in the future, there are currently no active plans to engage in advertising business.'
